| 中国媒介的全球性和民族性：话语、市场、科技以及意识形态 |

本书关注民族性和全球化的互动关系，却忽略了中国地方性的发展。我们要用理论的视野和恰当的方法来研究媒介的内容，以及人们如何吸收和解释它。末了，我在最近一个关於中国和全球化的国际会议上听到两个有趣的说法：首先，有人说学界流行研究中国的经贸巨变，忽视糟糕的人权状态。其次，华裔以前比外国学者对中国的未来感到更悲观，现在却感到更乐观。第一个说法显然与本书不符。至於第二个说法，就请你自己评价了。
